The Friendlies Chemist is Townsville's only community-owned and locally operated pharmacy. Trading in Townsville since 1881, the purpose was to provide Friendly Society Members with greater access to healthcare. In March 2022 we relocated to Charters Towers Road, opening our new pharmacy to ensure that we can continue to provide the best individual healthcare solutions to our community.

About the role

Full-Time, Permanent Part-Time, or Casual Position available.

Working days and hours are negotiable to suit the employee.

Occasional Saturday work when required

Qualifications & experience

Bachelor of Pharmacy

Current General Registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA

Tasks & responsibilities

Practice in accordance with legislation and professional guidelines

Ensure that prescriptions are dispensed in a timely manner as per pharmacy procedure

Counsel consumers on their medication (both prescription and over the counter) in an up-to-date, evidence-based manner

Practice in accordance with dispensary policy and procedure (i.e. QCPP)

Collaborate and maintain relationships with local healthcare professionals
