H People is proud to partner with a top-tier steel manufacturing and transport company based on Brisbane’s Southside. We’re on the lookout for experienced HR Truck Drivers ready to take the next step in their driving careers.

About the Role

As a vital member of the logistics team, you’ll be responsible for transporting steel products using Heavy Rigid (HR) and Heavy Combination (HC) trucks. This role also involves the use of a truck-mounted Hiab crane—and if you’re new to this equipment, we’ll provide the training you need.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport oversized steel loads using HR and HC vehicles
• Load and unload materials using a Hiab crane (training available)
• Ensure all operations meet road safety regulations and company standards
• Perform basic vehicle checks and maintenance
• Coordinate with dispatch, warehouse teams, and other drivers
• Keep accurate delivery logs and records
• Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture

What We’re Looking For

✔️ Valid HR or HC licence (MC also welcome)

✔️ Hiab crane experience (or willingness to learn)

✔️ Proven safety track record and clean driving history

✔️ Confidence in handling heavy and oversized loads

✔️ Strong local knowledge of Brisbane and surrounding areas

✔️ Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends

✔️ Full Australian working rights

✔️ Ability to pass medical and drug & alcohol screening
