About the role
The Health & Fitness Supervisor will be enthusiastic, friendly and passionate about working with people of all abilities – they will have a passion for community and making a difference in individual’s lives that attend our Swan Active leisure facilities by motivating and coordinating a team to create a welcoming environment dedicated to increasing members of our community physical, mental and overall health.
We currently have a permanent full-time position available at Swan Active Midland.
Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to;
- Coordinate all Health & Fitness and Crèche operations including leading and coordinating the Health & Fitness and Crèche team, recruitment, training, rostering and staff supervision
- Lead and create a positive relationship in all customer interactions whilst maintaining a professional and friendly manner to maximise customer satisfaction, experience and retention
- Deliver and supervise all activities associated within the gym, crèche and fitness classes, observing safe working practices, ensuring the health and safety and wellbeing of all users
- Foster a positive and high standard of customer experience and service in liaising with crèche children’s parents and guardians
- Provide a range of information on the Centre's services, programs, and activities to customers either face-to-face, phone, or through online digital communication channels
- Client physical consultations and exercise coaching program development
- Assist in developing quality health, wellbeing and fitness strategies and take responsibility for their deployment/implementation and measurement or performance
- Cleanliness, hygiene and maintenance of health and fitness and crèche areas and equipment to nominated standards
About you
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent work experience
- Fitness Instructor accreditation will be highly regarded
- Current senior first aid certificate, or willingness to obtain
- Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of exercise equipment, and the instruction of group fitness and gym circuit classes
- A satisfactory National Police Certificate is required.

The salary for this position will be from $81.628.92 to $96,391.46 per annum, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
