We require a Chef urgently to work in our busy Indian cuisine restaurant.

Skills required: AQF Certificate IV or Diploma in Hospitality

Two years of experience in Indian cuisine including Indian Sweets.

Applicants are expected to have Full Australian Working Rights.

Responsibilities: You will be responsible for planning, organizing and overseeing the kitchen and service (breakfast, lunch, dinner and our Indian sweets), including back-of-house operations, kitchen staff, and its processes in the preparation of delivering and implementing our menus.

Duties:

Planning menus and Indian Sweets, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.

Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.

Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff.

Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures for all menu items and Indian Sweets.

Preparing and cooking food.

Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations.

The Chef will also be involved in selecting and training staff
