About the Business
Our client, Riverina Oils is a state of the art fully integrated oilseed crushing and refining plant, strategically located in the agricultural hub of the Riverina in NSW.
Established in 2013, Riverina Oils crushes and refines aprox 200,000 tonns of canola seed annually. Their aim is to deliver innovative oil seed solutions to the world sustainably and cost-efficiently.
Riverina Oils is a company on the move. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven, skilled and forward thinking Health, Safety and Environment Manager (HSE Manager) to lead the business and their people into the next exciting phase of growth.
About the Role
The HSE Manager reports directly to the GM Operations. With a strong business culture of support and mentorship, you will have the backing to drive and implement positive change in the business.
This is an end to end opportunity for a knowledgeable HSE Manager who has the skills and aptitude to apply their broad previous experience. This role will give you the scope to contribute at a practical level to the direction of health and safety in the business and put your mark on the organization.
Riverina oils is an agile business that is looking to move forward progressively and LIVE best practice in the safety space.
Your responsibilities will cover all aspects of a Workplace Health, Safety and Environment role including Financial and Resource Management, Leadership and Team Management along with Stakeholder Management and Engagement.
Specific responsibilities include:
· End to end ownership of all aspects that fall within the HSE banner
· Ensuring all legislative and compliance requirements are met across the business
· Reviewing and implementation of new systems
· Detailed reporting both internal and external
· Driving a Zero Harm approach and culture
· Inspiring, training, developing and work closely with the HSE and operations teams onsite as well as Site Managers
This is a full time role, 38 hrs per week, reporting to the GM Operations. The role is located at Riverina Oils Wagga Wagga site.

Skills and experience
We are looking for someone with a background in either Engineering or Management. A Cert IV in OHS would be desirable however not essential. Past experience in Grain Crushing is highly desirable however again, not essential. Your passion for health and safety, drive for excellence and ambition to make real change in our client's business will be key to your success in this role.
ESSENTIAL
· High level of computer literacy
· Detailed knowledge and experience in online HSE systems
· Detailed knowledge and understanding of the full end to end HSE Role
· Strong history in HSE Policy, Procedures and Compliance
· 3yrs in a fully integrated HSE Manager Role
PREFERRED
· Experience in HR Dunsafe or HR Safety Culture System
· Previously implemented a new HSE system
· Worked in an organization promoting a Zero Harm philosophy
· Grain crushing experience
