About the Role
Working under general direction, the Research Assistant will support the research team in conducting high-quality studies, with an emphasis on clinical registry projects. Responsibilities will include engaging with clinical collaborators, assisting in the electronic collection, organization, and analysis of clinical data, and contributing to quality assurance processes. The role also involves helping with the preparation and submission of regulatory documentation such as ethics applications and data sharing agreements, as well as supporting the Chief Investigator in developing research manuscripts, presentations, and grant proposals.

FHMRI Eye and Vision aims to improve outcomes for patients with blinding eye conditions affecting our community. Our focus is on the nexus between vision and health, a major issue in Australia with its ageing population. About You
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEMM field or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, motivated and committed to enhancing teamwork and team success.
- Effective to well-developed organisational skills including the ability to prioritise work, meet competing deadlines, pay attention to detail, and manage a varied workload.
- Sound written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and cultural sensitivity.
- Sound computing skills including Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GraphPad, and Endnote.
