The Role
Rockcote is seeking a full-time Trade Store Leader to manage the staff and daily operations of our soon to be opened Brisbane South Trade Hub located in Hillcrest. Our Trade Hub is a direct point of contact for trade professionals and distribution partners to gain information and access to our products.

This will include managing orders, maintaining a stocked and tidy store, scheduling distribution, providing outstanding customer service, maintaining strong product knowledge, and managing staff to create a positive experience for all customers and assist in achieving sales objectives.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

  • Supervise Trade Sales Assistants to ensure the daily objectives of the store are achieved.
  • Provide pricing, stock availability, logistic arrangements, delivery information to customers and keeping customers up to date on delivery times.
  • Ensure store front and merchandise displays are presentable, to encourage retail and speciality sales.
  • Process customer orders, generate invoices daily, receive payment, and enter accurate information into the system including customer delivery notes.
  • Achieve allocated sales objectives for the store and assist with new product releases and promotions.
  • Ensure inventory is accurate, manage stock control and undertake regular stock takes.
  • Provide support and training to Trade Sales Assistants with tinting and mixing products and assembly of orders to ensure goods are received promptly.
  • Assist with the picking and packing of orders to ensure goods are received by the customer in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, in accordance with company guidelines and housekeeping processes.

About You
You must be able to demonstrate the following experience, abilities, and personal attributes:Qualifications/Experience:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position and industry, such as manufacturing, or building products.
  • Knowledge of render, texture and paint products, including tint machine experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience with inventory management, including stock control and performing stock takes.
  • Point of Sale system experience, and other financial functions, including generating invoices and banking money.

Skills and abilities

  • Previous experience managing a store and supervising a team.
  • Accurate written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • High level customer service skills & strong interpersonal skills to deal with all types of people.
  • Ability to use MS office Suite of Programs.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • Forklift licence is an advantage, but not essential.
