Leading insurance business is seeking a Lease & Occupancy Portfolio Manager to oversee and manage the organisations leased property portfolio, ensuring compliance with lease agreements, optimising costs and aligning lease strategies with business objectives.
The role also leads the strategic planning and management or workplace occupancy, ensuring efficient space allocation, supporting workplace transitions and data-driven insights to create a flexible, cost-effective and productive work environment.
Some of the key responsibilities for the role include:
- Lead space planning and allocation to ensure efficient utilisation and support workforce requirements.
- Analyse occupancy data and provide insights to drive efficiencies, space optimisation and strategic decision-making.
- Lead workplace transitions, including office moves, consolidations and reconfigurations to accommodate business changes.
- Primary liaison with internal stakeholders, landlords, property managers and service providers to ensure effective lease and occupancy management
- Develop and implement lease and occupancy strategies to align with business needs
- Preparation of varius reports
- Manage property leases, renewals, termination and compliance to optimise financial and contractual outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety and accessibility regulations across the leased portfolio.
- Implement process improvements in lease and occupancy management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
The right person will have:
- Demonstrated experience in lease management, workplace strategy, occupancy planning to enhance business efficiency within a complex corporate organisation.
- Proficiency in lease management, space planning and workplace management tools
- Will understand workplace strategies such as desk and meeting room strategies and allocation
- Knowledge of workplace regulations, including health, safety, accessibility and compliance standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in interpreting occupancy data and providing strategic insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management and verbal and written communication skills
- Experience managing workplace transition projects, office relocations and reconfigurations.
- High attention to detail with organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with operational execution in a fast-paced environment.
This is a permanent role with the opportunity for career progression. The role will pay $140 - $160K inclusive of super. The role will work in Sydney CBD circa 4 days / week with some flexibility after the person comes up to speed effectively.
