CPL TRAVEL SERVICE PTY LTD trading as STANDPIPE RESTAURANT in
Port Augusta, South Australia, seeks a full time Cook to join its team.
The successful candidate will need to be an experienced and motivated
cook prepared to work in a busy kitchen environment. Only persons
willing to make a long-term commitment to Port Augusta need apply.
The Cook will be part of a tight knit team and will have responsibility for
assisting the Restaurant Manager with the planning and controlling of
kitchen operations.
The duties will include:
 Taking major responsibility for the day to day running of the kitchen, including
selecting, purchasing and ordering foods, kitchen supplies and equipment
 undertaking stock control
 planning menu’s including daily specials
 cooking foods
 preparing foods
 supervising and delegating work to any apprentices and or junior staff
 creating new dishes
 estimating food cost and labour cost
 discussing food preparation with management
 planning and coordinating menu’s for any function bookings.

The incumbent must be a team player and have:
 Formal qualifications as a cook and experience as a cook with knowledge of
Western Cuisine essential and knowledge of Tandoori and Curry cuisine
desirable.

Salary range $70,000 to $75,000
