DM Civil is seeking a professional and motivated champion to work on the Alkimos Pipeline Alliance (APA) Project. Georgiou, along with DMC, have been announced as the preferred proponent to form an alliance with Water Corporation to deliver the project.

The successful applicant will have senior project engineering and contract experience with demonstrated technical and construction knowledge and capabilities, in line with DM Civil's core principles.

Basic Objective:

The Senior Project Engineer will have knowledge of the day-to-day issues that affect the progress of works and make experienced decisions that will maximise the project’s success in terms of profitability, efficiency, contract period and human relations.

Key Responsibilities:

Implementation of Occupational Health and Safety requirements as well as Environmental requirements.

Monitors, maintains and updates (or assists others to maintain) the contract program, including productivity units and ensuring the timely notification of EOT’s or Delay.

Identify critical supply items that require lead time.

Complete daily diary logging any (but not limited to) quality issues, conversations of importance, other issues on site with supporting evidence (photos) and thorough diary entry.

Cost / tender analysis.

Organise / negotiate / confirm contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.

Check monthly subcontractor statements and claims, ensuring timely submission.

Check invoices and dockets for possible variations / inefficiencies / cost code errors.

Identify and complete contract variations.

Ensure timeliness of contract maintenance.

Complete monthly valuations.

Attend weekly / fortnightly site meetings.

Establish cost and budget awareness with site foreman.

Management and development of the Alliance staff under your control.

To be successful in this position, you will:

Hold a civil engineering qualification, or similar,

Have demonstrated experience as a Senior Civil or Project Engineer assisting with the planning, implementation and successful completion of civil and mining infrastructure projects,

Have proven understanding of contractual requirements and management of project performance expectations,

Have demonstrated capacity to develop internal and external relationships and negotiate positive outcomes.

Be accountable for the performance, management and development of the Alliance staff under your control.
