
RECEPTIONIST AND BOOKKEEPER REQUIRED FOR GROWING TRADES BUSINESS

We’re looking for a reliable, well-spoken and proactive person to join our team in a full-time, permanent Reception and Administration role.
Our current front desk administrator, valued member of our team, is going on maternity leave and will return to a different role within the business. This opens up a long-term opportunity for someone to step into an important customer-facing position.
You'll be the first point of contact, assisting customers in person, by phone and email while managing key admin tasks that help keep things running smoothly. We're after someone who is confident in Xero, comfortable with technology, and who would enjoy being part of a family-owned business with a close-knit team that works together and genuinely looks out for one another.
To be successful in the role, you will be able to demonstrate your ability in the following key criteria:
Bright and friendly personality with good people skills.
A strong organiser who has drive and is consistently reliable
Able to work individually demonstrating initiative, but also willing and capable to work as part of a team
Confident communicator and ability to effectively liaise with team members and clients
Excellent problem-solving skills with a common-sense approach
Proven experience and tendency to want to create and improve systems and processes
Bookkeeping experience or background, with min. 3 years experience of using Xero
Competent in using standard Microsoft software such as Word and Excel
Experience in using a cloud-based Job Management System (We use Salesforce)
Social media posting
Previous experience in a service or trade-based company
This position will report to the General Manager and is required to undertake the general administration of the business to ensure operational, management and other key functions of the business can operate effectively and efficiently and will be directly responsible for:
Be the ‘face of the business’ as the first point of contact: answering telephone calls, walk-in customers, emails and other correspondence.
Entering, maintaining and managing tasks in our job management system from start to finish
Maintaining the workflow to the highest of standards.
Delivering exceptional customer service to our clients.
Accounts payable and Accounts receivable
Reconciling bank statements
Completing payroll and timesheets
Managing and administering general administration functions for the business and GM.
Being a key member in the growth and development of a growing player in the industry
Weekly entering of data into our financial spreadsheets
A little bit about who we are. We are leading supplier of Custom Roof Flashings and Products, We manufacture everything in-house at our Coombabah factory and are a family-owned and operated business. We pride ourselves on reliable customer service and excellent quality products.
We are determined to find the right person to work full time, Monday to Friday, 6.30am to 4.00pm (your weekends are free!).
