Are you a skilled civil engineer with a passion for infrastructure design, asset planning, and delivering real outcomes for your community?
We are currently seeking an experienced Assets and Design Coordinator to join our dedicated Assets and Infrastructure Services team at Kyogle Council.
In this key role, you will work closely with the Director of Assets and Infrastructure Services to plan and coordinate asset management, infrastructure design, road reserve access, and project development. Your work will directly contribute to the strategic planning, funding, and delivery of construction projects across the Kyogle LGA.
šļø What Youāll Be Doing:
Reporting to the Director of Assets & Infrastructure Services, the Assets and Design Coordinator plays a critical leadership role in asset management, engineering design, and infrastructure planning. You will:
Ā· Lead and manage survey and design services for major infrastructure projects
Ā· Develop a rolling pipeline of construction-ready projects aligned with grant funding opportunities
Ā· Coordinate technical input on development proposals and infrastructure servicing
Ā· Oversee road access approvals, gates and grids inspections, and third-party infrastructure works
Ā· Lead the development and implementation of Councilās Asset Management Plans
Ā· Contribute to strategic planning, project delivery, and environmental management within road reserves
š„ About You:
You are a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in civil engineering and asset management. With a passion for infrastructure development, you excel in managing complex projects and ensuring their successful delivery. You bring leadership and technical expertise to the role, fostering collaboration across teams and with external stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for the community.
You will have:
Ā· A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Ā· Experience in civil engineering design and surveying, project management, and asset management.
Ā· Proven ability to manage and supervise contractors, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure adherence to quality standards and regulations.
Ā· In-depth understanding of NSW local government legislation related to infrastructure, utilities, and asset management.
Ā· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a customer-focused approach.
Ā· Experience in preparing technical reports, contract documentation, and specifications.
Ā· A current Class C driverās licence.
Ā· For Grade 9 roles, experience supervising or mentoring a small team will be highly regarded.
