In collaboration with the Queensland State Government, Emanate Technology is looking for a Principal Business Analyst to join a strategic enterprise program focused on re-platforming core SAP ERP solutions. This is a rare opportunity to influence statewide outcomes, modernise critical systems, and shape the future of enterprise technology foundations across HR, finance, and logistics.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading end-to-end analysis for enterprise SAP solutions across HR, finance, and logistics
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define and validate business requirements
• Driving improvements in user experience, process efficiency, and system functionality
• Overseeing analysis of current and future state business processes
• Identifying gaps and opportunities through process reengineering initiatives
• Developing high-quality documentation tailored to varied stakeholder groups
• Advising on project plans, release cycles, and strategic alignment
• Mentoring team members and supporting multidisciplinary capability development
• Supporting a culture of compliance with HR, equity, safety, and ethical practices

What you need to bring

• Demonstrated experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance, Logistics, SAP ECC6 HR/Payroll, or Infor WFM Rostering
• Proven ability in engaging stakeholders and translating business needs into functional requirements
• A solid background in delivering strategic advice within enterprise technology environments
• Skilled in analysing and redesigning complex business processes across multiple domains
• A track record of developing high-quality, fit-for-purpose documentation
• Capability in leading, mentoring, and supporting cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with working in compliance-driven, policy-heavy environments such as government or large enterprise

Bonus points for…

• Experience working across multiple government or large enterprise SAP transformation programs
• Background in providing specialist input into HR/payroll system upgrades or Proof of Concept initiatives
• Exposure to managing or influencing vendor engagement and support agreements
• Involvement in shaping enterprise-wide technology roadmaps or digital modernisation efforts
• Familiarity with supporting initiatives requiring after-hours or high-availability system engagement
