Our client, a large Federal government agency based in Deakin, ACT, requires two experienced senior technical Business Analysts for 12 + 12 month contracts.

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will assist in the delivery of diverse and varied projects, centred around a large-scale digital transformation that is currently underway.

Duties

• Discover, define, validate, prioritise and continuously manage requirements that translate identified needs into outcomes.
• Examine and organise requirements to record dependencies, relationships and identify logical sequences.
• Synthesise business and technical requirements/concepts and present them in simple terms.
• Draft business analyst artefacts and documents that may include risk analysis, scope modelling, business process modelling, data discovery and analysis, problem tracking and sequence diagrams.
• Provide support on stakeholder analysis, assisting the team to engage with stakeholders to effectively understand cross-business functions.

Essential criteria

• At least 5 years, working in a similar role performing business analysis activities including workshop facilitation, supporting the successful delivery of high-impact and high-value initiatives that lead to meaningful change.
• Communicating with technical SME's to define and obtain an understanding of business needs, technical constraints, and technical concepts and present them in simple terms.
• Effectively managing multiple business stakeholders and establishing effective working relationships with stakeholders.
• At least 2 years, in a role relating to cloud platforms (preferably Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure) including delivery of new services.

Desirable criteria

• Experience working in Government or providing services to Government agency.
• Demonstrated experience and flexibility to adapt to agile and waterfall processes to deliver projects.
