A great opportunity for an Intelligence Analyst (Fraud and risk management) to join this busy team.

About the Business Area:

• Investigating and responding to internal and external fraud against the Agency which includes undertaking criminal investigations of serious and organised fraud against the Agency in partnership with Fraud Fusion Taskforce member agencies.
• Managing the tip-off process and collecting intelligence about integrity concerns to ensure this is acted upon. We develop risk profiles through detection analytics which inform our responses.
• Scalable responses, targeted at specific integrity vulnerabilities and cohorts, to address known and emerging integrity and fraud matters.
• Fraud investigations, which will progress to prosecutions for serious cases.
• Overall governance and management of the multi-agency Fraud Fusion
• Taskforce (FFT). This includes development of agreed strategic prevention concepts and priorities across FFT agencies and reporting of savings and benefits.

About the role:

• Conducting Fraud Assessments: Producing intelligence reports for complex matters from the collection, evaluation, and analysis of information for the purpose of informing decision makers.
• Leading Intelligence Projects: Developing collection plans, assigning tasks, analysing financial and other information, and articulating findings.
• Producing Intelligence Products: Producing intelligence products within set timeframes in compliance with legislative, policy, and information security frameworks.
• Maintaining Accurate Records: Maintaining accurate files and records in relation to business decisions and intelligence activities and functions, contributing to reporting requirements.
• Providing Ongoing Intelligence Support: Offering continuous analytical support and insights for ongoing integrity matters. Collaborating with investigative teams to provide relevant intelligence and data.
• Using Analytical Tools and Databases: Gathering data from various sources, utilizing analytical software and tools to interpret and analyse the collected data. Compiling detailed reports that highlight key findings and provide actionable insights.
• Contributing to Continuous Improvement: Identifying gaps and areas for improvement in existing business rules and processes. Proposing new methodologies and approaches for data analysis and investigation. Collaborating with colleagues to refine and implement recommended changes.
• Identifying Emerging Intelligence Risks: Monitoring trends and developments that may impact NDIA’s operations. Conducting risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. Developing strategies to mitigate identified risks and enhance operational resilience.
• Working Flexibly Across Operational Functions: Adapting to changing priorities and demands within the organization. Providing support across different operational functions as needed. Ensuring that critical tasks are completed during periods of high demand.
• Maintaining a Security Clearance: Ensuring that all security clearance requirements are met. Maintaining the necessary level of security clearance for the role. Complying with all security protocols and procedures.

Essential criteria

• Experience to interpret and apply policy and legislation
• Strong research, communication and critical thinking skills
• Hold a Certificate IV in Intelligence Operations or equivalent
• Maintaining a Security Clearance: Ensuring that all security clearance requirements are met. Maintaining the necessary level of security clearance for the role. Complying with all security protocols and procedures

Benefits:

• ASAP start (pending Federal Police Clearance)
• 12 Months contract with possibility to be extended
• Full time hours Monday to Friday
• SA, NSW, QLD and VIC locations
• Rate: $60.26 hourly + Super
