Nganana Inc
Posted 1 day ago
We’re seeking passionate, resilient Specialist Support Coordinators (Level 2 & 3 - multiple roles available) to join our team for a rare and meaningful opportunity in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands. This is not your average job—you’ll be welcomed into remote communities where your work will have real and lasting impact.
If you thrive in challenging environments, value cultural connection, and want to be part of a tight-knit, grounded, and supportive team—this could be a life-changing role.
About Us
Nganana Inc. is a not-for-profit, registered NDIS service provider focused on delivering quality services to people living with disabilities who require various levels of support. We support people with intellectual, physical, complex, and psycho-social disabilities.
It is important to us to support clients to reach their goals in creative and engaging ways and empower them to lead self-directed, meaningful lives. Equally important to us is keeping a work culture that respect our staff and care about their wellbeing. This in turn provides exceptional outcomes to the people we support.
Your New Role
You’ll be part of a close-knit, highly supportive team that travels to remote Aboriginal communities to support individuals with complex needs through trauma-informed, culturally respectful coordination of supports.
Level 2 or Level 3 roles available, depending on your experience.
27.5 billable hours per week for level 2 and 25 billable hours per week for level 3.
You’ll work both remotely and on-site in the APY Lands (with required permits), contributing to work that’s deeply meaningful, impactful, and unlike anything else.
Expect long days, basic accommodation, and environmental extremes—but also personal growth, connection, and unforgettable experiences.
What You'll Bring
A passion for Aboriginal culture and community-led work
Experience with trauma-informed practice
A solution-focused, can-do attitude and the ability to think on your feet
High-level organisation and attention to detail
A collaborative spirit—we’ve got your back and you’ve got ours
Creativity and adaptability in resource-limited settings
A genuine desire to build trust and long-term relationships
Strong written and verbal communication
The ability to check and maintain quality standards in challenging environment.
A drive to go above and beyond, always
Experience in coordination roles within NDIS or human services is highly desirable
Why This Role is Special
This is not your average job. You’ll be invited into communities that many never get to visit, and you will be contributing to work that holds deep cultural and personal significance. Access to the APY Lands is restricted, meaning the opportunity is rare and deeply respected.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Minimum Certificate III in Disability or equivalent.
Experience in Human Services or Disability Services.
Strong trauma-informed practice and cultural awareness.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
High-level organisation, reliability, and emotional resilience.
NDIS Worker Screening or DHS clearance.
Working with Children Check (SA).
Unrestricted SA driver’s license.
COVID-19 vaccination (including booster).
Desirable:
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, OT, or related fields.
5+ years' experience in disability or community services.
Previous experience in remote or cross-cultural work settings.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital record-keeping systems.
Why Join Us
