About the role

DEA Projects Pty Ltd trading as Fontalina is looking for an exceptional Chef / Pizza Maker to join our team in Balnarring, Victoria. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals and pizzas for our customers. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Italian cuisine and experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

What you'll be doing

Prepare and cook a variety of Italian dishes and pizzas according to our menu and recipes

Ensure all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation

Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations

Assist with inventory management and ordering of necessary supplies

Provide exceptional customer service and respond to any customer inquiries or requests

Collaborate with the wider kitchen team to deliver an outstanding dining experience

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience as a Chef / Pizza Maker in a fast-paced hospitality environment

Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques, particularly pizza and pasta

Experience with woodfired pizza ovens and hand tossed-dough essential

Excellent time management and multitasking abilities to work efficiently in a high-pressure kitchen

Commitment to delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service

Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from the Head Chef

Food handling and safety certification
