Estimator (Junior) - Building & Construction

Bravada Waterproofing is one of the largest waterproofing contractors in the Victorian building and construction industry and provides quality waterproofing services to targeted sectors including commercial builders (Tier 1 & 2) civil builders / consortiums and asset owners / managers requiring remedial waterproofing works.

Bravada’s business continues to grow so we are now looking to add a Junior / Graduate / Cadet Estimator to our Estimating Team. Specifically, we are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person with relevant building industry qualifications who is seeking to commence or further progress their career in the building and construction industry.

This is an exciting opportunity to enter into the waterproofing sector, that continues to grow in scale, importance and profile within the construction industry and which will soon be governed by increased government and industry regulations.

The successful applicant for this position will:

Ø Possess relevant building industry qualifications such as Diploma of Building & Construction, Cert IV in Building & Construction or similar.

Ø Have excellent communication skills in support of dealings with clients, trades people, contractors and office staff.

Ø Be a great team player & be prepared to assist other team members as required.

Ø Be able to multi task and work well under pressure.

Ø Have a strong concern for accuracy & quality of work.

Ø Be highly computer literate, with advanced Microsoft skills with ability to quickly adapt to building industry software systems including simPRO & Planswift.

Within this role you will be responsible for critical tasks including but not limited to the following:

· Read & interpret construction drawings and engineering plans.

· Develop technical specifications for job – product selection based on supplier consultation or TDS validation.

· Obtain all information necessary to accurately define scope of works, including by visiting clients / job sites as appropriate.

· Complete quality & detailed take offs for all required areas & items.

· Complete quality Quote / BE / Tender build ups for submission to clients.

· Validate accuracy of quote build ups to established KPI’s & benchmarks.

· Compile quality documents & proposals for tender interviews & client meetings.

· Proactively seek to follow up on submissions issued and close the deal.

About the position:

Permanent position (subject to probationary period)

Flexible days / hours available for the right candidate

Total remuneration of circa $65,000 to $85,000 P.A
