Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Part-Time Accountant to join our team and drive our tax program, build client relationships and provide business advisory services. You will have the option to work from our Port Macquarie office, or work from home, depending on what works for your lifestyle. Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Advise and assist clients with bookkeeping, payroll, and GST/FBT compliance.
• Prepare tax returns for individuals and small businesses.
• Collaborate with our team and provide financial insights to clients.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and cash flow forecasts.
• Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and support.

About You:

A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience (preferably in a public practice environment).

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks)

Strong understanding of Australian tax laws and regulations.

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.

A degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent) is highly preferred.

CPA/CA qualified or working towards certification is a bonus.
