$70k - $95k Package (full-time equivalent)

North Sydney location - close to the station

Friendly firm offering part-time hours - 3-4 days per week

This boutique practice provides taxation and advisory services to a broad range of business and personal clients.

Inside the office you will find a close-knit and stable team of 5, under the guidance of a passionate Partner. All of the Accountants have been with the business for over 3 years and have become CA/CPA’s under the Partners mentorship. The working environment on offer here is second to none - there is relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with a good sense of work/life balance. The Partner wants the team to love what they do, but also enjoy their life outside of work.

The firm is now seeking an experienced Accountant on a part-time basis (3 or 4 days). You will work closely with the Partner and wider team to provide compliance services and communicate with clients. You'll receive both on the job training as well as having access to external training courses and programs to develop your accounting skills (including support for CA/CPA should you still be studying either program).

Key duties of this role include:

Preparation of Financial Statements and Tax Returns for a variety of tax entities e.g. Sole Traders, Companies, Trusts, Superfunds and Partnerships.

State Taxes, Indirect Taxation and BAS return lodgement for clients and their business entities, including payroll tax, land tax, superannuation taxation, annual GST, FBT and PAYG on wages.

Communicating with the ATO

Conducting tax planning and assisting with advisory work

Collaborating with the wider accounting team to deliver exceptional client service

The ideal candidate will possess:

CA/CPA qualification (or in process of studying)

2 + years experience in public practice

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Familiarity with Xero and MYOB software
