Role and Responsibilities

• PSSE and PSCAD modelling to assess system faults, load flow and dynamic analysis in distribution and transmission systems.
• Steady state and transient system studies
• Develop GPS documentation.
• Prepare connection application model study reports for TNSP and AEMO.
• Assist in developing the strategy for achieving connection of each project
• Assist with the technical negotiation of connection agreements.
• Develop connection enquiries and assist with generation license and registration applications

Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualification in electrical power engineering, PhD favourable
• Good skills and experience in power system modelling tools; either PSSE, PSCAD, DigSilent
• Understanding of Generator Performance Standards
• Experience in grid connection procedures with AEMO, DNSP’s & TNSP’s
• Good communication skills
