The Firm:

A well established AFR Top 50 Accounting Firm based in Sydney CBD with a wide offering to clientele, they work across the board with start ups requiring complex strategy setting needs, to Ultra High Net Worth clients with complex investment portfolios, to large Corporates & Multinationals delving into areas of Tax not commonly seen in Business Advisory roles. They have a great team culture, with low staff turnover and consistent growth within their portfolio, with roles generally cropping up as a result of this. They place a big emphasis on internal promotion and equip staff with the relevant tools in order to achieve their career goals!

The Role:

• Preparation of Tax Returns for a range of entities and group structures.
• Preparation of Financial Statements, BAS and Management Reporting.
• Review of a team of onshore Graduate and Intermediate Accountants, management of their workflow and budgets.
• Interpret financial data and compile presentations to clients that support long term tax strategies and financial advice on a range of complex matters.
• Attend meetings with the Partner and clients on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.
• Support the Partner in the day to day management of the team.

About You:

• 7+ years' experience in an Australian Public Practice Accounting role, with at least 18 months of this being within a Senior capacity.
• CA or CPA Qualified or near completion.
• Exposure to client groups with 5+ entities and Ultra High Net Worth family groups.
• Sound technical knowledge surrounding a range of tax matters including CGT, FBT and Division 7a, some corporate tax knowledge would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated capability in managing a team, reviewing work and meeting budgets & deadlines.
• Proficiency in Xero.
