My client is a boutique public practice firm based in Wolli Creek, right across from a major train station (and offers free staff parking). The Role: Senior Client Manager / Team Leader
My client is looking for an experienced, technically strong Accountant to lead a small team and deliver exceptional outcomes for high-end clients.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing technically complex compliance work
- Leading and mentoring a capable team of accountants
- Allocating jobs and supporting staff with technical queries
- Running virtual client meetings and building long-term relationships
- Delivering in-house training on tax and legislative updates
- Providing clear, commercial advice—not textbook explanations
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Have 7+ years’ experience in public practice with deep tax knowledge
- Be capable of reviewing compliance work with precision and insight
- Possess excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Be locally educated, with a strong understanding of Australian business culture
- Combine technical tax expertise with emotional intelligence
- Enjoy mentoring others and fostering a learning culture
- Think commercially and understand client value
This is not a sales role. My client wants a professional who is at the top of their compliance game—not someone focused on BD. They want someone who listens carefully, solves complex problems, and communicates clearly and empathetically with clients.
