Position Overview:

Reporting to the Recruitment Lead, this role is primarily responsible for recruiting and mobilising suitable skilled labour required for shutdowns, maintenance and project works as well as labour hire positions required by Clients at the Company’s multiple work sites. The role will also ensure successful on-boarding of all selected labour including organising new starter onboarding, mobilisation and candidate care. Additionally, this role will be responsible for writing job advertisements, shortlisting candidates, organising interviews, drafting interview questions, conducting reference checks and credentialing in a junior recruitment capacity overseen by the recruiters.

Key Responsibilities:

Overall recruitment activities - Advertising, screening, interviewing, reference checks.

Liaise with external labour hire agencies and subcontractors regarding the mobilisation of the required labour as per site requirements.

Undertake the screening and selection functions to ensure key qualifications, skill sets and work experiences meet the site labour requirement as well as client’s site mobilisation requirements.

Organise mobilisation of all the selected and approved skilled labour to site as per shutdown, maintenance, and project work schedules.

Prepare and distribute job packs, itineraries, and other required documentation which includes processing all new starter documentation to Payroll and IT in a timely manner.

Collect and file all qualification and mobilisation documents on electronic filing system.

Ensure the on-boarding experience is adhered to and all mobilised workers are inducted and oriented appropriately.

Co-ordinate training and development requirements, make course bookings, liaise with attendees and facilitators, and manage and track attendance.

Assist in the implementation of initiatives supporting employee engagement, retention, and wellbeing.

Actively collaborate with the HR team in the development of new strategies, processes, and procedures to ensure effective and efficient mobilisation process is always being undertaken.

Support the HR team as required, including coverage for leave and workload support.

Other HR and admin duties as directed by HR Manager.

About you:

Mobilisation experience is a must

Recruitment experience

Experience with INX - +Process and InFlight

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks efficiently.

Strong ability in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.

Good understanding of and complete commitment to confidentiality.

Advanced computer software skills, including Word, Excel and other database applications.

Ability to multitask and process high volumes of employees to site when required.

Cert IV or Diploma in Human Resources, Business, or Management or progression towards.

3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role preferably in mining or construction industry.

Demonstrated experience in a recruitment role with a sound knowledge of contemporary HR practices.

Demonstrated experience in writing and creating job advertisements, uploading to websites and job boards, and conducting reference checks.
