Position Overview
Reporting to the Group Operations Manager (VIC), you will drive WPC Group’s recruitment, attraction, and engagement strategy in Victoria, ensuring a strong pipeline of high-calibre apprentices and trainees.
In this role you will develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies, managing a highly motivated team of Recruitment and Engagement Consultants.
This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role where you will collaborate with schools, TAFEs, industry groups, community organisations, and employer partners to ensure WPC Group continues to deliver the highest-quality apprentices and trainees to meet industry demands.
Key responsibilities:
Recruitment & Engagement
Lead and support a team of Recruitment and Engagement Consultants in Victoria.
Develop and execute innovative Apprentice & Trainee recruitment strategies.
Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with schools, TAFEs, community organisations, and employer partners.
Leverage digital platforms and social media for talent attraction, working closely with the Social Media Coordinator.
Develop and execute marketing and communication strategies to promote apprenticeship opportunities.
Represent WPC Group at career expos, industry events, and information sessions.
Conduct thorough and informative candidate orientations, ensuring apprentices and trainees are set up for success.
Strategy & Administration
Develop data-driven recruitment strategies, tracking key metrics to improve hiring outcomes.
Manage recruitment budgets, including advertising spend for job boards, social media, and marketing campaigns.
Ensure compliance with government apprenticeship and traineeship eligibility requirements.
Lead process improvements in recruitment operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
Support the Head of Business and Operations and the Group Operations Manager in recruitment planning and execution.
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience in recruitment or workforce development.
Strong leadership and relationship-building skills and experience managing and supporting a team.
Excellent communication skills, highly engaged and strategically minded.
Ability to develop and execute recruitment strategies in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) system and apprenticeship pathways.
Proficiency in social media talent sourcing and recruitment marketing.
Strong administrative and reporting skills with a data-driven approach to recruitment.
Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
Valid National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
Current Driver’s Licence.
