With a turnover of approximately $50 million, we’re seeking an experienced Financial Controller / CFO to join our leadership team and play a pivotal role in the financial stewardship of our business.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business, with a particular focus on cash flow modelling, liquidity management, and financial collaboration with our project management teams.

Key Responsibilities

Cash Flow Leadership:

Develop, manage, and refine comprehensive short- and long-term cash flow models.

Maintain visibility of working capital across multiple projects.

Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve cash position.

Strategic Financial Management:

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting processes.

Provide clear financial insights to support strategic decision-making at the executive level.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, reporting standards, and internal controls.

Project Financial Coordination:

Work closely with project managers to track project-level financial performance.

Ensure alignment between site teams and finance on claims, variations, and subcontractor payments.

Support accurate forecasting and billing cycles to optimize cash inflows and reduce delays.

Risk & Governance:

Proactively manage financial risk, including exposure on project overruns and payment cycles.

Drive cost control initiatives and oversee audit and tax requirements.

About You

CPA / CA qualified with 10+ years of experience in a senior financial role, preferably in construction, civil, or infrastructure sectors.

Proven track record of cash flow management in project-based businesses with complex billing cycles.

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to link operational project activity to financial outcomes.

Excellent stakeholder engagement skills – able to collaborate effectively with project managers, commercial leads, and external partners.

Hands-on, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented.
