Craigieburn South Primary School is seeking Casual Integration Aides, to provide support for students on a casual basis. The role will encompass supporting students with additional needs and providing literacy and numeracy support for students. The role also encompasses first aid & personal care requirements for students (i.e. toileting, general hygiene etc.) as well as support aspects to ensure the school operates in good working order.

Working hours

Casual hourly rate $38.25

The role encompasses casual relief on call work or regular casual hours

Availability / willing to work 5 days per week as required (School Hours)

Requirements

A current “Employee” Working with Children Card.

A Certificate III in Education Support is desired.

Pre-service teachers encouraged to apply.

Level 2 first aid certificate is desired.

Experience working with students in a school setting is desired.

Experience dealing with students with special needs is desired.

Yard duty and first aid are requirements of this position, as is personal care needs of students. The role also encompasses support aspects to ensure the school operates in good working order.

Selection Criteria

SC1 - Capacity to undertake routine support tasks across a range of functions in one or more work areas within a school environment

SC2 - Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively with members of the school community including students and the capacity to provide support and/or attendant care to students where necessary

SC3 - Demonstrated proficiency in the use of office systems as relevant to the position

SC4 - Capacity to work cooperatively with a range of people including teachers, education support, students and parents.

SC5 - A commitment to professional learning and growth
