We are looking for an exceptional candidate with high standards and qualities to care about each child's academic progress within our classroom setting. A highly dedicated and qualified Teacher's Aide with Primary School and Early Childhood experience would be ideal to deliver our SKYLAS School Readiness Literacy and Numeracy Program along side the class Teacher as well as implementing our Catholic Faith Education Program for children aged 3-5 years.
Candidate must be fun loving, passionate and energetic to join our amazingly passionate team.
IMMEDIATE START PREFERRED, candidate must be available every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30am- 3:00pm. (Fridays until 4pm as we set up for the new week ahead)
A sound understanding of the THE SCIENCE OF READING and methods of implementing it's components is essential for this role, alongside a sound understanding of the current N.S.W Stage 1 Curriculum. All staff are required to teach Catholic R.E throughout the day.
As a qualified Teacher's Aide, you will play a crucial role in preparing young children for their transition to formal schooling by providing a comprehensive and engaging educational foundation with our evidence-based tuition programs. Your passion for early childhood education, combined with any experience you have gained from Primary School work, will contribute to creating a positive and enriching learning environment.
***Please note this is not Childcare or Preschool, we are a tuition centre providing explicit teaching instructions for literacy and numeracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with developing multi-sensory components of our explicit, well-structured and engaging School Readiness Program that aligns with the N.S.W Curriculum and focuses on key developmental areas including literacy, numeracy, social skills, and emotional readiness to enter into primary school.
Assist with supporting and delivering age-appropriate lessons, activities, and experiences that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of children aged 3 to 5, fostering their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to actively participate in learning experiences.
Collaborate with families to gain insights into each child's background, interests, and learning styles, and use this information to tailor the program to individual needs.
Monitor and assess children's progress regularly, identifying areas for growth and providing constructive feedback to both children and parents.
Foster a love for learning by incorporating creative and interactive teaching methods, such as storytelling, arts and crafts, music, and hands-on activities aligned with our existing programs.
Promote positive behavior and social interactions among children, teaching them essential skills such as conflict resolution, empathy, and effective communication.
Maintain accurate records of children's development, achievements, and challenges, and share these insights with parents during parent-teacher conferences or through regular communication channels.
Stay updated on current trends and research in early childhood and primary school education, integrating innovative teaching techniques into the program.
Collaborate with other educators and staff members to ensure a cohesive and holistic approach to children's development.
