Practice Nurse

Burpengary Morayfield Hub Medical Centre is an established Medical Centre located in Burpengary East. We have a dynamic team comprising of 10 Doctors and Allied Health Team on site including Practice Pharmacist, Psychologist, Physiotherapists, Podiatrist, and visiting Consultants and a Mental Health Social Worker.

We have a great supportive team and we are wanting that special person to come and join our Hub Nursing family in a permanent part-time position.

If you are a Division 1 Registered Nurse, and you would like a fast paced role where no two days are the same, we would love to hear from you.

The Role

• Clinical patient care e.g. ECG's, spirometry tests, chronic and acute wound care, immunisations, minor procedure assistance, general patient observations, skin cancer medicine. etc
• The applicant must have excellent communication skills, the ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with team members and patients.
• Important to have the ability to plan, organize and prioritize, and foster a work environment conducive to the wellbeing of patients and staff.

Experience required for role:

• Registered with APHRA
• Bachelor of Nursing (Registered Div 1 nurse)
• Applicants must have 1 – 2 years minimum General Practice experience, preferably using Best Practice Software.
• Immunisation qualified preferred, or willingness to complete an authorised immunisation course
• Cannulation certified would be advantageous - however training can be provided.
• An understanding of the diverse role and nature of practice nursing, ability to work autonomously while aware of scope of practice/limitation and willingness to seek help when and where required.
• Knowledge and experience in infection control, cleaning & sterilisation standards
• Chronic disease management and health assessments experience would also be beneficial, but all training can be provided.
