We are seeking a dedicated and experienced permanent part-time Practice Nurse to become an integral part of our team at our bustling doctor-owned general practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality patient care and will have specific responsibilities in the following areas:

• Lead and oversee the clinic’s Infection Prevention and Control procedures, ensuring compliance with current standards and maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of vaccine storage, administration, and documentation, including cold chain maintenance and stock control.

• Collaborate closely with general practitioners, preparing and assisting in patient procedures and treatments.

• Oversee and maintain the patient recall and reminder systems to ensure timely follow-up of preventative health, chronic disease, and immunisation appointments.

• Deliver comprehensive chronic disease care planning, including patient education and regular health reviews.

• Conduct thorough health assessments for patients across various age groups, contributing to early intervention and preventative health strategies.

• Demonstrate a high standard of clinical care, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous quality improvement in all areas of nursing practice.

• A strong focus in chronic disease management, aviation medicals, assisting with skin and vasectomy procedures

• Maintain effective management of clinical supplies, ensuring appropriate stock levels, timely ordering, and compliance with expiry and storage requirements.

• Maintain meticulous patient records, ensuring strict adherence to confidentiality and privacy protocols.

• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and patient-centric approach to care.

• Ensure strict compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a primary healthcare setting

• Experience using Best Practice software

• Proficient in clinical nursing skills, including wound care, medication and immunisation administration, care planning and health assessments

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, consistently adopting a patient-centred approach

• Ability to work both independently and as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team

• Demonstrated proactive approach to learning and commitment to ongoing professional development
