About the Role

Providing support to people with disability living in Mascot and Rosebery you will have a range of experience across disability support including working with behaviour support plans, personal care, manual handling and confidence in driving a wheelchair van.

Joining our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team on a casual basis, you will support people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster and may be required to work across different homes in Mascot, Rosebery and surrounding suburbs.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
• Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
• Maintain thorough record keeping
• Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues
• Advocate for client choice and control

Skills & Experience

• Experience working with people with disability
• Previous experience working with behaviour support plans
• Confidence in driving a wheelchair van
• Manual Handling and Personal care experience
• An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence
• A current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
