About The Position:

An exciting opportunity exists for a Full or Part Time Bookings and Support Services Officer to join our Discovery Office team based in Hobart.

The purpose of the role is to ensure consistent support is provided to Services, ensuring day to-to day operational requirements are met. The Booking & Support Services Officer will be responsible for ensuring bookings and waitlists are up-to-date, whilst providing comprehensive administrative and systems support.

The position will report to our Manager – Support Services and will work collaboratively with the Managing Director and the Head Office Leadership Team.

Applicants Must Have:

Current Driver’s License, and willingness to travel within the state and interstate as required.

Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable Persons Registration.

Relevant qualification and / or experience in Business Administration

Relevant experience in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Selection Criteria:

When addressing the criteria below, please provide specific details of your abilities, qualifications, experience, standard of work and previous performance.

Demonstrated experience in an administration role, with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. Experience with managing books and / or rosters would be advantage.

Knowledge and understanding of the administration functions with an Early Childhood Education and Care Service.

High level of interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to negotiate successful outcomes.

Ability to work autonomously.

Time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks.

High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite etc). Experience with using Qikkids (or an equivalent Child Care Management System) and / or an electronic booking system would be an advantage.
