As a Team Leader you will typically be responsible for the management and supervision of teams and/or
projects relevant to the Unit’s work. Roles are available leading analytical teams and data improvement
teams.
Under general direction you will:
- Lead the development, management and/or analysis of data including the preparation of reports, technical papers, and presentations for various audiences.
- Provide strategic advice and develop options on professional, technical, and management matters.
- Work collaboratively with the Unit Head and other officers within the institute to provide leadership, direction, and performance management of staff, and the effective management of allocated resources.
- Manage complex projects and activities and provide administrative and professional support.
- Liaise and negotiate with other areas of the AIHW, other Commonwealth government agencies, state and local authorities, and business or community organisations, and represent the AIHW at meetings as appropriate to the responsibilities above.
