About the opportunity

Join NSW Health Pathology in a dynamic role supporting critical revenue functions that underpin healthcare delivery across the state. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to provide essential project and reporting support to our Statewide Revenue team. Working within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will be instrumental in producing monthly reports, managing documentation, and assisting in the development of standardised procedures to ensure the efficiency and integrity of billing systems.

What you'll be doing

To provide project support within the Revenue Team to support current billing systems and the continued development and reporting in the Statewide Pathology Revenue team.

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance/Business/Commerce or equivalent work experience.
  2. Strong analytical and conceptual skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret information from different sources to proactively identify issues and formulate strategies to address them.
  3. Excellent communication skills and superior customer service skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of people while maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.
  4. Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines, organise and prioritise high-volume workloads.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  6. Ability to understand and investigate legislation, procedures and instructions in relation to pathology billing including Medicare and health fund rules.
  7. Demonstrated capacity to adopt and model the NSW Health Pathology RITE values of Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence.
