Employment type - Temporary, Full-time position up to 30 June 2025 with possibility of extension up to 28 February 2026

Salary - Clerk Grade 9/10 $125,693 - $138,510pa plus employers' contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

Are you passionate about delivering impactful programs and projects that improve housing services? We're looking for a motivated Senior Project Officer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in driving initiatives that enhance service delivery and asset management within the Housing Portfolio.

As the Senior Project Officer, you will develop, manage, and implement a broad range of projects that support and improve service delivery outcomes across the Housing Portfolio. You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure effective planning, execution, and evaluation of projects.

What you'll do

As part of the Maintenance Strategy and Projects team, you will plan, develop and manage diverse projects that support housing initiatives and strategic outcomes. You'll lead and coordinate project teams, resources, and budgets to meet project goals and milestones.

You will also prepare comprehensive documentation including project plans, status reports, budgets, and discussion papers for senior stakeholders as well as conduct research and analysis to inform project development and recommend innovative, practical solutions.

You will collaborate with internal and external partners to implement new processes, services, and products as well as engage with key stakeholders and provide expert advice and support throughout the project lifecycle.

You'll manage a team of eight comprising of eight officers including one Project Officer and seven Assistant Project Officers.

What we're looking for

  • Strong project management skills and a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
  • Understanding of local government planning controls and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in asset management, particularly in the housing or public infrastructure sectors.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent professional experience.
  • Current and valid driver's licence.
