About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Event Coordinator to lead the delivery of our annual Community Day at the Australian Botanic Garden, Mt Annan. This role is perfect for someone who loves creating engaging public programs, has strong project management skills, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
You’ll be responsible for all aspects of planning and running the event, working closely with internal teams including Education, Events, Rangers, Marketing, and Media.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate logistics for a large-scale community event in August.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth event delivery.
  • Work with education staff to develop and deliver engaging family-friendly programs.
  • Monitor budgets and report on event outcomes and community engagement.
  • Prepare documentation, reports, and evaluations to support continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing to promote the event to local audiences.

About You

  • Proven experience delivering events or programs for families in cultural or community settings.
  • Skilled in project coordination and stakeholder engagement.
  • Confident managing budgets and reporting on outcomes.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Hold a current Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain).
