Senior Data Analyst

Location - Sydney
Hybrid Work - 3 days in the office

Looking for a Senior Data Analyst / IT Business Analyst to join a high-performing Enterprise Application team supporting critical customer data systems used across reputed Bank based in Sydney. Need strong focus on data analytics and modelling and will also involve technical business analysis across multiple brands and business lines.

Responsibilities

• Lead data analysis across enterprise customer platforms and APIs
• Deliver high-quality data models, profiling, and insights to support large-scale transformation programs
• Map and manage complex data flows across legacy and modern systems
• Produce clear, concise documentation to support business and technical teams
• Act as a subject matter expert in customer data, collaborating with diverse stakeholders

About You

• 5+ years in Data Analysis + 3+ years in IT Business Analysis (ideally within financial services)
• Strong SQL skills and experience with ETL, data profiling, modelling, migration and integration
• Experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Confident communicator with great stakeholder management skills
• Passionate about data, detail-oriented, and eager to continuously learn and improve

This is a hybrid role where you will be initially performing 80% to 85% Data Analysis tasks, and 15% to 20% IT Business Analysis tasks - your experience needs to be as a Data Analyst with some experience and skills as an IT Business Analyst is a big plus!
