About the role

As a Mobile Crushing Plant Operator - Quarrying at Local Mix, you will play a vital role in the smooth operation of our mobile crushing and quarrying activities. This full-time position is based on the South West Coast of Victoria, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a range of mobile plant and crushing equipment, contributing to the overall productivity and success of our quarrying operations.

What you'll be doing

Operate a variety of mobile plant and crushing equipment, including excavators, loaders, Jaw and impactors, to process, move, and load materials

Perform routine maintenance and pre-start checks on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety

Follow all relevant safety protocols and environmental regulations to maintain a safe and sustainable work environment

Communicate effectively with the quarry management team to coordinate work activities and report any issues or concerns

Contribute to the continuous improvement of quarrying processes and procedures

What we're looking for

Relevant experience in the operation of mobile crushing equipment in a quarrying or recycling environment

Proficiency in the safe and efficient operation of excavators, loaders, screens and crushers

Strong knowledge of quarrying safety practices and environmental regulations

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle unexpected situations

Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the broader quarry team

A valid driver's license and the ability to work in a full-time capacity
