About the role

An exciting senior leadership opportunity has become available in Merri-bek’s Aged and Community Services team.

The Unit Manager Ageing Well will be responsible for leading the delivery of innovative, person-centred services while fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture. You will oversee a dedicated team, ensuring aged care standards, funding agreements, community needs and emerging sector trends are aligned with.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the development and delivery of integrated Ageing Well services that support Council’s strategic priorities.
  • Leading and motivate the team, ensuring they are supported, engaged, and equipped to deliver high-quality services.
  • Collaborating with the Senior Leadership Group and contribute to cross-functional projects across the Branch and organisation.
Skills and experience require to perform the role
  • A tertiary qualification in Human Services/Allied Health/Social Sciences or related field. Postgraduate qualifications in management/leadership would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge and understanding of managing funded programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team to deliver program performance and met KPI’s.
