As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated Procurement Specialist to join our team. Reporting directly to the CFO, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about taking that next step in their procurement journey. This opportunity will allow the successful candidate to build, develop and continue to grow all areas of procurement within the organisation and make a substantial impact to support the business growth.

What you will be doing:

Collaborate with internal departments and centres to understand procurement needs.

Build and maintain strong relationships with centre leadership and educate them about procurement.

Assist with development and implementation of procurement strategies, plans and policies.

Oversee purchasing activities to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.

Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.

Manage supplier relationships and monitor and evaluate their performance.

Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and standards.

Prepare and issue purchase orders and assist with preparation of supplier contracts.

Analyse market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings, while staying up to date with industry developments.

The ideal candidate will have:

Relevant qualification OR proven work experience (at least 5 years) as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role - Required

Experience within the Education industry – Desired

Experience with implementing new business processes or process improvement initiatives – Desired

Experience with MYOB - Desired

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies.
