Salary: VPS 5.1 - $113,022 to $124,884 + 11.5% superannuation

About the role:
Reporting to the Manager, Service Management and Infrastructure Services, the Manager Workplace Services, is a senior member of a team responsible for the effective functioning of the EPA's Workplace Services, including Service Desk, and provisioning and supporting workplace technologies to enable collaborative ways of working within the organisation. You will work in partnership with IT vendors (e.g. Microsoft, Capgemini) providing workplace platform support services.
In this role you will:
- Effectively manage the workplace services function and platform, including by leading the development of a strategy for the management of workplace technologies, ensuring compliance with EPA's Enterprise Architecture standards and policies.
- Be the technical leader and key contact for the managed service provider's IT support teams.
- Deliver high-quality workplace platform services by providing authoritative, high quality, accurate and timely advice in relation to all aspects of workplace technology.
- Ensure that that the systems that support the workplace platform are regularly reviewed for currency and compliance to the Enterprise Architecture standards and policies.
- Facilitate and provide staff with guidance, training, and support regarding workplace services.
Skills and experience:
- A degree in Computer Science / Information Systems, and/or post graduate qualification in Information Systems or a related discipline.
- Leadership experience in a medium to large sized Information Technology function.
- Significant experience in a managed services and vendor support model.
- Significant experience in establishing and improving IT Service Management processes.
- Significant experience in workplace technology delivery and continual technology improvements.
- Experience in relevant tools / technologies: Jira, Confluence, Azure, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft O365, ServiceNow, Windows 10/11, Printing, Video conferencing.
