About the Opportunity
As part of the Park Lands, Policy & Sustainability Program, this position plays a key role in supporting the delivery of Council’s low carbon and circular economy initiatives. The Project Coordinator, Circular Economy will provide administrative and project support to the Low Carbon and Circular Economy Team, contributing to the implementation and review of strategic plans, including the Economic Development Strategy 2024–2028 and the Integrated Climate Strategy 2030.
This dynamic role involves a mix of strategic research, performance tracking, and reporting on Council’s economic and environmental impact—particularly within the circular economy space. You'll help coordinate trials and pilot programs, support key governance groups, and assist with preparing reports, presentations and community engagement materials.
We’re looking for someone who brings strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement. About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Knowledge and understanding of the issues that impact on economic development, sustainability and climate change.
- Experience in providing a broad range of administrative services at an advanced level and with high levels of accuracy.
- Knowledge of community engagement principles and their application.
- Strong organisational skills, the ability to successfully manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines.
- Ability to be adaptable and flexible and have a commitment to continuous improvement and have the ability to review procedures and systems and to recommend changes where appropriate.
