About the role
This role will work in the context of family, domestic and sexual violence, including child sexual abuse.
The Primary Care Project Manager will develop, coordinate, and manage projects across WVPHN's region, working with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Responsible for the management and coordination of projects, including managing and driving program activities, budget, delivery, and evaluation, the Project Manager will be able to pick up and lead projects as part of a team of Project Managers and Project Officers, enhancing and supporting teams within the PHN where needs arise.
This is a hybrid role: working from anywhere in the western Victoria region, with occasional travel required for training, team days, and stakeholder engagement.
Duties include:
Undertake planning, analysis and implementation of project based on defined outcomes and outputs as specified in the funding agreement between the Department of Health and WVPHN.
Contribute to the full life cycle management of the project. Contribute to and deliver in line with project timelines, management plans, and Project Management Office (PMO) methodology
Manage and be accountable for the successful development, implementation, monitoring delivery and evaluation of the project/sub-projects within resourcing, timelines and budget parameters.
Identify key stakeholders that have an interest in project outcomes, including key connections at national, state and local levels.
Budget management and resource allocation including planning and estimating costs, determining budgets, and controlling project financials.
Identify key stakeholders that have an interest in the project’s outcome, including key connections at national, state and local levels.
Key Selection Criteria includes:
Tertiary qualification in project management, health or related field, and/or demonstrated relevant professional experience
Demonstrated experience in project management, preferably in a healthcare setting, particularly with multiple stakeholder projects with ability to prioritise and resolve critical issues efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision
Demonstrated high-level analytical and problem-solving skills in a health or related setting
Capacity to work both autonomously and in a team environment on a range of diverse issues to meet project or program quality requirements
Demonstrated excellent engagement and communication skills, including influencing, relationship management and the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships that create harmonious working relationships

Employment requirements:
Be prepared to undergo a National Police Check, prior to appointment
A current Victorian driver’s licence
