We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Cook to join our vibrant kitchen team. This position is ideal for a culinary professional who takes pride in meticulous food preparation, exceptional presentation, and maintaining consistently high standards. You will work alongside our experienced chefs, contributing to the ongoing success of our culinary offerings.

You will need to perform the following duties:

Preparing, seasoning, and cooking traditional and contemporary Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi, and hot kitchen specialties.

Ensuring dishes are crafted according to our authentic recipes and presentation standards.

Inspecting and selecting fresh ingredients, maintaining quality control, and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.

Efficiently operating kitchen equipment such as sushi preparation stations, grills, fryers, and steamers.

Assisting in inventory management, including monitoring supplies, ordering ingredients, and minimizing waste.

Supervising and mentoring junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to cooking techniques, safety, and hygiene practices.

Collaborating closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations, particularly during busy service periods.

The essential requirements for this position:

Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience.

Relevant culinary qualifications.

Strong understanding of Asian and Fusion cuisine.

Ability to perform efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
