About the Opportunity
Strategic Business, on behalf of RSL Bundaberg Sub Branch, is recruiting multiple compassionate, professional, and community-focused Wellbeing Officers to provide direct, life-changing support to veterans and their families across the Bundaberg region.
This client-facing, hands-on role plays a critical part in ensuring individuals and families receive timely, practical, and emotional support during times of transition, crisis, or need. You’ll often be the first point of contact, working closely with clients to assess wellbeing needs, coordinate services, and offer empathetic, solutions-focused support.

Key Responsibilities
As a Wellbeing Officer, you will:
• Conduct home, hospital, residential, and aged care visits to assess and support wellbeing
• Develop tailored wellbeing plans to connect clients with appropriate support services
• Provide advocacy and referrals to organisations including DVA, mental health, housing, employment, and financial aid providers
• Coordinate and deliver emergency relief and homelessness prevention programs
• Collaborate with advocates, health professionals, support workers, DVA, and other agencies
• Maintain accurate and confidential records using internal systems
• Participate in team meetings, ongoing training, and external collaboration
What We’re Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
• Passionate about supporting veterans and their families
• Warm, empathetic, and resilient in sensitive client situations
• A strong communicator, capable of building trust and rapport
• Organised and confident managing case notes and admin tasks
• Familiar with the community services or support sector (advocacy, health, or social services experience highly regarded)
Qualifications & Requirements
• MILAD or ATDP training (or willingness to complete on the job)
• Background in community services, welfare, advocacy, or similar support roles (highly regarded)
• Current QLD “C” Class driver’s licence
• Ability to obtain a National Police Check and meet compliance requirements
Role Details
• Full-time (Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work)
• Multiple roles available
• Pay range: $25.41 – $36.46/hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
On the Job training is provided upon commencement.
