Saltwater Bay Services is seeking experienced Mine Based & Civil Earthworks Supervisors to join our team on a Full Time basis, for immediate start in May / June 2025.

We are looking for team players who lead from the front and bring a wealth of project knowledge and team leadership skills, with the ability to provide guidance and mentorship to all workers onsite while ensuring safe and efficient project execution.

What’s on offer

We are seeking mining & regional based Supervisor/s for project work within the Gascoyne & Perth Areas, managing small teams of 5 – 15 staff

Rate: $75 per hour + super (rate includes Base + Project Allowance)

2 & 1 | 2 & 2 roster, FIFO from Perth or DIDO local

12 Hour Shifts, Days only

Gascoyne Region (Mine + Small Project Based) + Head Office in Port Kennedy as required

Supervisor Mine Spec Ute for site use

About the role

The Supervisor is crucial to the operation of our business, overseeing small to medium teams across diverse projects in the mining and civil earthworks industries.

You will:

Lead & supervise small to medium teams of 5-15 operators / mechanics / contractors within mine site based and/or civil earthworks projects

Daily project preparing, scheduling & reporting including pre-starts, daily summary reports, SWMS, additional WHS Procedures

Daily time in/time out management of team during projects

Scheduling and organising permits, materials, equipment as required

Ensuring teams work together efficiently and follow timelines

Maintaining a safe, secure and healthy environment at all times

Daily Safety Meetings and communication with Clients for project updates

Predominantly based within the Mining Industry, you may from time to time assist with additional Civil Earthwork projects off site + Office based meetings and training as required in Port Kennedy

About you

Successfully able to Supervise and mentor a small to medium team of both permanent employees and contractors, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability

Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, regulations, and procedures by all team members and contractors, conducting regular safety briefings and inspections

Demonstrate strong situational awareness and a thorough understanding of project requirements, providing clear direction, troubleshooting guidance, and leadership to ensure smooth project execution

Promote a culture of learning and knowledge sharing by facilitating toolbox talks, safety training sessions, team-led safety shares, and skills workshops to promote professional growth and enhance team effectiveness

Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members, recognising achievements and addressing performance gaps through constructive dialogue and targeted training interventions

Qualifications & Experience

Hold a Schedule 26 (S26), Construction Based Trade Certificate, Diploma in Building & Construction, or WHS Certificates (Highly Desirable)

Proven Experience Supervising small – medium teams within the Mining / Civil Earthworks Industry

Operation Experience in a variety of machines such as Dozer, Excavator, Moxy, Posi Track

Demonstrated experience in a safety champion role, with experience or knowledge of current regulations

Pre-Qualifications for the role

A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for local travel when required

The ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening

The ability to obtain a satisfactory current National Police Clearance
