About the role

The Brimble team is currently seeking Operator Maintainers with mechanical trade qualifications to work on a full-time basis across multiple projects in various locations. As an Operator Maintainer (trade qualified), you will be responsible for operating and maintaining specialised rail resurfacing machinery, ensuring the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems across our technologically advanced machine assets.

Key responsibilities include:

Operate and maintain specialised rail resurfacing machinery.

Perform regular installation, repairs and maintenance on a range of machinery to minimise any downtime of the machine and meet maintenance schedules.

Conduct routine inspections, diagnose faults and test machinery including creating and completing accurate notifications and records.

Assist and support other maintenance and operations personnel in the delivery of multi-trade works including responding to breakdowns and completing operational and maintenance-based activities.

Ensure that scheduled work carried out in line with company and the relevant industry standards and regulations.

Proactively develop skills and knowledge required for the rail environment and associated with trade qualifications through on-the-job training.

Travel to different work locations nationally, working as part of a team.

About You

Relevant trade qualification as a Mechanic.

Resurfacing experience.

Ability to fault find and utilise trouble shooting skills.

Proven ability to be a supportive team member, with strong work ethic and can-do attitude.

Flexibility for potential overtime and weekend work.

Must be able to satisfactorily complete and maintain CAT 1 Medical.

Ability to obtain and maintain Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card.

Hold a current valid Australian Drivers Licence.
