Our client is a leading provider of transport maintenance services across Australia. Due to ongoing contracts, we are seeking multiple skilled Workshop Mechanical Fitters based in Newcastle.

What's Involved:

Stripping and rebuilding mechanical components from the rail industry

Operating a wide range of hand and power tools

Collaborating as part of a dynamic team

Reading and interpreting technical drawings

What We're Looking For:

Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter with a recognized Trade Certificate

Experience in mechanical strip and rebuild

Rail maintenance experience is highly regarded, but not essential

Forklift ticket is a plus

Strong teamwork and communication skills

What We Offer You:

$58.81 - $62.40 per hour (casual rate based on experience)

Day shift (Monday - Friday)

Ongoing work with the potential for a permanent position

Opportunity for afternoon shifts

Based in Newcastle
