The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this role will see you manage the mechanical maintenance resources to safely plan and execute work through application of work management processes.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Support continuous improvement of processes, systems and methodology which can be counted towards plant availability targets.

• Effectively develop the mechanical maintenance teams through effective and consistent coaching and performance management.

• Foster and implement work management processes to meet work management KPI’s.

• Actively develop and maintain effective working relationship with relevant production superintendents.

• Interact closely with the Reliability Function at Phosphate Hill, ensuring equipment strategy improvement is initiated and implemented.

• Formulate and manage annual maintenance budgets maintaining effective cost control.

What you’ll bring

Ideally you will have proven experience in a leadership role within a Maintenance environment in heavy industry. Other desirable skills and experience include:

• You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture

• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a Mechanical Trade background

• Experience in maintenance and/or engineering of a petro-chemical manufacturing plant, power generation or similar heavy industry environment

• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop people

• Experience with CMMS – (SAP preferred or similar)

Northern Australian Operations consists of an Ammonium Phosphate Mine and Processing Plant (Phosphate Hill) and Sulphuric Plant (Mt Isa) in North Queensland.
