St John of God Geelong Hospital St John of God Hospital Geelong is a 253 bed hospital and is recognised as the leading provider of private health care in the Barwon and South-Western region. The hospital provides a range of services including an emergency department, day surgery, medical, surgical and maternity services, along with a 24 hour critical care unit and Cath Lab services.

Your role at St John of God Geelong Hospital
You will provide comprehensive patient care to patients on our Oncology Centre, working alongside various clinicians providing cancer treatment, including oncology, haematology and palliative care. Our centre operated 7am to 7pm Monday through to Friday, specialising in oncology/haematology and medical infusions.

St John of God Geelong Hospital provides a comprehensive range of acute services to the rapidly growing coastal city. The modern and up-to-date hospital has a 24/7 accident and emergency department, a comprehensive surgical program supported by a 12-bed critical/intensive care unit, rapidly growing cardiology, medical, rehabilitation, and cancer services.

The Position

Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.

Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital.

Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate.

Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring staff.

Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.

You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, with recent oncology experience and demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.

To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

The Benefits:

Salary $68,093 - $96,175 (pro rata basis for Part time) plus 11.5% superannuation

Permanent Part time positions available, up to 60 working hours a fortnight.
